To improve the lives of domestic animals in Vietnam through education, spay/neuter/vaccination clinics, and capacity building for Vietnamese veterinarians.
Description
This site will be used to inform the public about our mission, to post articles related to the plight of animals in Vietnam and Southeast Asia, and to share our success stories. VAWO's daily work involves educating residents, both local and expat, of the need to spay and neuter their pets in order to prevent the overpopulation of unwanted pets. We also take in rescue animals and are now making them available for adoption for locals. In addition, we are working to increase the capacity of local vets with further training by foreign vets and by providing them with the facilities and the tools necessary to provide quality, affordable health care to residents of Central Vietnam.
