Orphan Voice

Many of the children Orphan Voice serves are true orphans who have lost both parents to death or abandonment. Others are in single-parent homes without adequate food or clean water, and no money for school fees, books and uniforms.

Among the rural poor in Vietnam, broken but extended families band together and share their meager resources to survive. Too often, there is simply not enough food and families are forced to make the heart-wrenching decision to place a child in an orphanage.

Whatever their individual circumstances, all these children share a common experience: hardship, lack, hunger and a bleak future.
